God Gun! was a senior thesis project written and directed by Louisiana State University Alum, Sophia Brazda. It was in running workshop at Louisiana State University in 2021 in collaboration between all cast and crew. In this original version, the first act was performed as written and the second act was entirely improvised based upon a random bible verse of audience selection. Based upon our discoveries, Brazda wrote and completed the second act.
Synopsis: Set at a local newspaper amid seemingly apocalyptic events, chaos erupts in cubicles as one journalist is asked to kill himself in order to interview God. What follows is a dark comedy with an improvisational streak, centering around themes of suicide, the mortality of all relationships, and humanity in the face of the end of the world.
